In the intensified tension between Britain and the United States and Iran, the United Kingdom said today that it will work with the United States to protect the Persian Gulf merchant ships. Earlier, Iran once ridiculed that the US allies were “not shameful” to join this task.
The decision by the United Kingdom to form a task force with the United States means that the policy under the leadership of the new Prime Minister Johnson & Johnson has changed. Former Prime Minister Mey had tried to form a fleet led by Europe.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace issued a statement saying: “The UK is determined to ensure that shipping is free from illegal threats, so we joined the new maritime security mission in the Persian Gulf today.”
When the British Ministry of Defence made this announcement, it did not disclose in detail which other countries would join the operation.
